Outline
Film production company «Komedia» deals with production, distribution and translation of audio-visual projects as well as arrangement of entertainment events.«Komedia» was established in Latvia in May 11, 2004 by Uģis Nastevičs in order to advance development of the Baltic youth cinematography. After achieving recognition among the youths of Latvia, we have established branch offices «Komedia Lietuva» in Lithuania (2007) and «Komedia Japan» in Japan (2008).
By now more than 80 talented youths belong to our company, while newcomers are selected through Komedia Talent Audition four times a year. We are looking forward to embody brave ideas™ with You.

Talent audition
Talent auditionThe qualities of recruits are evaluated through diverse disciplines of Komedia talent audition, thus obtaining a comprehensive view on each participant. There are more than 80 talents available. Talent database card index is kept up to date by supplementing it with new photos recurrently - thus being able to follow the changes in talent's appearance.

Studio facilities
Studio facilitiesRīgas kinostudija (RMPS) was established in 1948 and produced 15 full-length feature films a year during Soviet Era. Still RMPS manages the largest sound stages in Northern Europe. Shooting of audio-visual production takes place there. Construction of sets, rental of equipment, costumes and props, restoration of interior furnishings, arrangement of entertainment events, rental of premises and other services are provided as well.

Arrangement
ArrangementWe will be glad to assist you with gathering of information, concept development and plotting of audio-visual projects, talent selection for your needs, drawing up provisional cost estimates, location hunting and permission arrangements concerning shooting locations.
Shooting
ShootingWe provide DV/HDV shooting of feature and documentary films, tv/corporate commercials, music videos, stand-up sketches, public events and parties.
Music production
Music production«Komedia»-associated artists provide score composing, recording, editing and processing; digitizing of vinyl records and cassettes, sound effect editing, music copyright clearance and other audio-related services.
Post production
Post production«Komedia» interweaves brave ideas with the world of sound and image by using non-linear editing software. We carry out editing in DV/HDV formats (both PAL & NTSC), as well as product processing into various formats and data carriers accordingly to project needs. For example - CD/DVD discs, VHS cassettes, FLV files for distribution on internet etc. We provide layout design of DVD menus and case cover as well.
Design
DesignOur designers will be glad to create corporate style, presentation material and website design for your enterprise or upcoming event, as well as bulletin production - like film posters, flayers, t-shirts, badges etc.
Translation
TranslationWe provide translation and subtitles production for films and commercials from/to Latvian, English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Lithuanian, Estonian, Japanese and other languages. We know how to make people understand each other.
Distribution
DistributionWe provide film and music distribution by Screening tours taking place in cinemas, culture centers, schools and youth events, and by publishing the works on our website. Our works have taken part in such festivals as "Lielais Kristaps", "2ANNAS", "Tokyo Video Festival", "Museum Night", "Youth Culture Day" etc.
Entertainment events
Entertainment eventsYear-round «Komedia» organizes film screening tours at schools, youth centers, culture houses, cinemas and in the open air. We carry out youth film workshops, seminars as well as celebration parties in association with Rīgas kinostudija.
